The Pro Pickleball Association has signed two more top-ranked pickleball pros for the 2022 season.
This time it is AJ Koller and Lauren Stratman who have joined the trend and officially signed with the PPA.
Stratman ended 2021 as the #1 overall women’s player according to the “APP ONIX – DURA Standings List.” She would have been the top earner in the new APP stipend program. Stratman finished just ahead of the number two player, Lea Jansen, who also just signed with the PPA.
Both Stratman and Jansen will be featured on the PPA tour and paid for their tournament appearances. They will still be able to participate in a limited number of outside events but they will no longer be the staples on the APP podiums that they were 2021.
Koller, who had a breakout year in 2021, has also earned a spot in the PPA lineup. He won two golds at the PPA Las Vegas Pickleball Open and a huge showing at the first-ever Major League Pickleball with the Chimeras. He joins his cousin Thomas Wilson on the PPA tour, where we will see them partnered up for some doubles events.
The 2022 PPA Tour kicks off in AZ at the Desert Ridge Open.
