Linda Thompson, a senior pro player with Team Selkirk, gives us some insights into what makes the Amped Invikta her pickleball paddle of choice.
When did you start playing with the Amped Invikta?
Linda: About 2 years ago.
What made you try it?
Linda: I was looking to add more control, so I wanted something a bit softer. I wanted something with a bit more feel to help with my soft game.
Did you like it immediately? Was there an adjustment period?
Linda: I felt comfortable with it quickly, and it didn’t take too long for me to make the adjustments needed. One of the adjustments was getting used to the sound. It is a quieter paddle than I was used to. I get feedback from the sound of contact and that was a bit of an adjustment.

What do you like best about the Amped Invikta?
Linda: The paddle has great control, but it still allows me to use my power. It is what I was looking for. I didn’t lose my power, and I gained control and accuracy in the areas I was hoping for. I also like that the handle length is 5 and ¼ inches. That gives me room for the two-handed backhand when needed.
How would you rate its durability?
Linda: I have never had a crack or any issues.
