We'll discusses how to become a tournament organizer with The Dink Minor League Pickleball and what you can expect from your experience.

What it takes to organize a tournament

Organizing a pickleball tournament takes a special type of person. You need to be detail oriented, remain level-headed, have the ability to answer player questions and have a basic understanding of marketing pickleball events.

Organizing for The Dink Minor League Pickleball requires all these things and a bit more. Here is what will be expected:

 First, contact a representative

The first step to becoming an organizer is speaking to one of The Dink Minor League Pickleball representatives. They will ask you for some information, including your location and whether you’ve run pickleball events such as tournaments, round robins, DUPR rating sessions, leagues, etc. We have found those that already have a background in organizing events have greater success at running The Dink Minor League Pickleball tournaments.

They can also answer any questions and give you a full breakdown of what to expect.

You can start that process here:

Second, market your event

Once approved, you’ll be expected to market your events.

In essence, a local organizer owns the events. While The Dink Minor League Pickleball will provide marketing assets, social media presence, and other key ways to advertise overall events, local organizers must spearhead their marketing. Just like other business ventures, you’ll get out of it what you put into it.
