Jamie Foxx Dedicated Plenty of Time to Pickleball During His Recovery From Health Scare
Jamie Foxx, 56, is one of the biggest celebrities in Hollywood. He currently hosts a game show and is a star on the big screen as well.
However, his career was unexpectedly put on hold in 2023 after a health scare on the set of Back in Action, a movie he was filming with Cameron Diaz, among others.
While the specifics of Foxx’s hospitalization remain undisclosed, one thing has come to light.
Pickleball played a big part in his recovery. His daughter, Corrine, provided an update on her dad's progress at the time.
"He’s playing a lot of pickleball!" she said. "That man and pickleball; it’s like he’s playing twice a day every day. It’s a whole thing. He’s fully in it."
The actor is such a pickleball fanatic, he has his own paddle brand called "The Best Paddle."
Foxx has since returned to the game show he co-hosts with his daughter, Beat Shazam, and has returned to the movie set as well. The film stars Cameron Diaz, Jamie Foxx, Kyle Chandler, Andrew Scott, Jamie Demetriou, and Glenn Close. Back in Action is scheduled to be released by Netflix in November of this year.
