Since its debut this past summer, Pickleball World Rankings (PWR) announced its full 2025 schedule and unveiled the PWR DUPR India League, a marquee event set to take center stage at the Jio World Convention Center in Mumbai and headlined by tennis legend Andre Agassi and anchored by some of the sport's top pros.
The team event was originally scheduled for January 2025 but was moved to March 17-23.
Now, it's been delayed again, with no future date set.

Rumors on X and other media platforms have wondered if the event is being canceled outright, but we're told that is not the case.
Founder and CEO of Pickleball World Rankings (PWR) Pran Kohli confirmed the news to The Dink.
This was a consensus among team owners, he said, and came down to two primary factors:
The first:
Owing to the rushed schedule the team owners wanted some time to understand the sport and players better. They also wanted to create marketing and PR around their team.
And the second:
Team owners with our broadcasters believed that the first season is the most critical and we took a last minute call not to clash with the IPL (Indian Premier League)- the biggest cricket league and the biggest sporting event in India. The Indian Premier league announced their schedule to start on 22nd March.
The Indian league debuted initially amidst a flurry of fanfare, even introducing tennis superstar and pickleball convert Andre Agassi as a figurehead.
